Mr. Mallard was born in Ft. Myers, Florida, on March 19, 1969, and grew up in Bonita Springs, Florida. Mr. Mallard attended college at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and received a Bachelor of Science from the Business School in Marketing in 1991.
After graduation, Mr. Mallard pursued a career in restaurant management until deciding to enter the practice of law. Mr. Mallard attended Stetson University College of Law, graduating Cum Laude and receiving his J.D. in 1996. While in law school, Mr. Mallard was selected to complete an internship with the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida with Chief Judge The Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovochavich.
Upon graduation from Stetson Law School, Mr. Mallard was offered a position at the law firm of Seipp, Flick & Kissane in Miami, Florida. Mr. Mallard worked at Seipp, Flick, & Kissane for over four years and specialized in Products Liability Litigation, Premises Liability Litigation, Commercial Litigation, and Worker's Compensation Litigation. Mr. Mallard then accepted a position with the firm of Ford & Sinclair in September 2001 where he became a partner in the firm that became known as Ford, Dean & Mallard in April 2005. In January 2011, Mr. Mallard started the firm of Mallard & Sharp, PA with attorney, Richard “Bo” Sharp.
Mr. Mallard is admitted to practice before the Florida Circuit Courts, U.S. District Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has litigated and tried cases in both State and Federal Courts in Florida. Mr. Mallard is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice.
Mr. Mallard has successfully obtained over $50 million in verdicts and settlements for his clients and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. His practice includes Nursing Home, Assisted Living Facility and Home Health Care Negligence/Abuse; Medical Malpractice; Legal Malpractice; Product Liability; Personal Injury; Slip and Fall Accidents; Sexual Molestation; Automobile, Trucking and Boating Accidents; and Wrongful Death.
Mr. Sharp was raised in Mclean, Virginia. During college, Mr. Sharp served as an intern for the U.S. Congress Subcommittee on Energy and Power.
Between college and law school, Mr. Sharp was a buyer in the medical supply field. From 1996 -1999, Mr. Sharp attended the University of Miami School of Law where he graduated cum laude, in the top fifth of his class. While at law school, Mr. Sharp was a member of the University of Miami Business Law Review and was a founding board member of PLEDGE, a non profit company designed to aid under privileged urban residents and migrant workers.
After graduation from law school, Mr. Sharp became an associate in a large Florida firm, where he practiced insurance defense, with a focus in medical malpractice and legal malpractice, and aviation insurance defense including aviation products liability. In the course of Mr. Sharp’s employment, he defended ValuJet in the litigation arising from the Flight 592 ValuJet Air Disaster and he took part in the defense of manufacturers, maintenance corporations and small air lines for their roles in a number of small plane and helicopter crashes that occurred in the U.S., Caribbean Islands and South America.
In 2000, Mr. Sharp became an associate in a Miami based plaintiff’s law firm that focused on litigating medical and nursing home malpractice cases. In 2004, after generating more income than any other partner, Mr. Sharp became a name partner in the firm. During his tenure with the firm, Mr. Sharp litigated over 100 nursing home and A.L.F. abuse and neglect cases across the states of Florida and Georgia.
Mr. Sharp's primary areas of practice are medical malpractice, nursing home malpractice, products liability, negligent security, premises liability, catastrophic trucking and automobile accidents, aviation accidents and wrongful death of any kind.
In addition to being admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Mr. Sharp has litigated cases in Georgia and served as a pro hac vice counsel in other states as well. Mr. Sharp has an AV peer review rating from Martindale Hubble and he has been named one of South Florida’s Top Rated Lawyers 2012. Mr. Sharp was also named a member of Florida Trend’s Legal Elite 2012 and he is listed in Florida Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star". Mr. Sharp has served on the Board of Directors of the Dade County Trial Lawyers and he has been both a member of ATLA and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. He previously served on the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers Young Lawyers Board of Directors. Mr. Sharp is currently an EAGLE Member of The Florida Justice Association.
Mr. Sharp also donates his time to the Put Something Back Program in Miami-Dade, County and the Lawyers For Children Program, also in Miami-Dade, County.
Bo spends the majority of his free time with his wife Cris and their two sons, Hunter and Santiago ("Bubba').
